Dr. Nguyen completed his Doctorate of Psychology from the University of St. Thomas- Graduate School of Professional Psychology. He completed his post-doctoral work focused on providing integrative care, mainly assisting refugees and immigrants in navigating the mental health system. His areas of clinical interest are in trauma, depression and anxiety, holistic health, multicultural psychology, men’s issues, immigration, supervision, consultation, and training. He provides services to adults. Dr. Nguyen’s experience of navigating intersectionality and practicing from a trauma-informed framework fuels his clinical practice. He is eclectic in his clinical approach, although he often employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness practices, Solution-Focused, and Acceptance and Commitment therapeutic approaches as his clinical focus. Dr. Nguyen has been in the mental health field since 2005, serving in various mental health capacities (i.e., rehabilitation services, targeted case management, intensive outpatient, clinical training director and program supervisor, and outpatient services).
